Application Security

Build security checks into the way applications are designed, developed, and released. Start with the code, components, interfaces, and production workflows your team owns.

Plan your evaluation

Write down the workflow, systems, operating owner, and evidence needed to make your decision. Use the same scope for every supplier, and ask which parts of the demonstration are included in the proposed package.

Code and dependency analysis

Distinguish checks on your own code from analysis of third-party components. Define which repositories, languages, build systems, and dependency sources must be covered.

Application and API testing

Choose representative authenticated workflows and APIs. Agree on test permissions, safe boundaries, and the evidence developers need to reproduce a finding.

Developer remediation

Follow a finding from discovery into a developer-owned change. Check suppression, exception review, retesting, and the effect on a normal release.

Questions to ask

  1. Which checks run before release and which inspect a deployed application?
  2. Can a developer reproduce, fix, and retest the same finding?
  3. What code, build artifacts, or secrets leave our environment?
